Ever seen anything quite like this? I doubt it! 8th project is creating some crazy looking NFTs with a style like no other. We were interested in finding out how he come to developing this unique style, using abstract techniques to picture some of the world’s greats from Cristiano Ronaldo to Tupac Shakur, he can do it all.
8th project, thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us.
How did you first get into creating digital art?
I was already a “conventional” artist before and I discovered the NFTs a little by chance while being interested in the art world. I thought it would be interesting to dig into the subject and I launched my first collection on OpenSea
Your work primarily consists of colourful abstract pieces that open up viewers’ minds to seeing things differently.
What are your inspirations? This could be artists (NFT or non-NFTs), TV shows, music, or any random thing on the internet!
My greatest mentor is Vasili Kandinsky. His works speak to me a lot and I developed my own style by studying his work.
Then I specialized in portraits of people who inspire me, who are in the news etc.
I do research to get to know the person a little better and eventually incorporate important aspects of their life into the portrait.
For example, for Gary Vee who I recently painted, I included a soccer player and a glass of wine because I know that these are two things he is passionate about.
How has your style evolved over the years?
My artistic career is actually quite recent but my style has quickly evolved. My very first drawings were of animals, much simpler than what I create today.
Also, since I started NFTs, I draw almost exclusively digitally, whereas before I used marker
What is your work process from idea to finish?
Once the person is chosen, I look for a reference image. I reproduce the important features of the face (contour, mouth, eyes) in a realistic way. Then I destructure, I add more or less hidden messages, and finally, the colors.
Cryptocurrencies and NFT have been dominating the world news for the past year thanks to the meteoric rise of Bitcoin, Cryptopunks, and of course, the famous Beeple $69M NFT purchase. What are your honest thoughts on the cryptocurrency and NFT space right now?
I think that NFTs are only the beginning of the artistic revolution in progress. There are crazy things happening in the metaverse and I think it will change a lot of things in the world of tomorrow. I’m very happy to be part of this adventure
What are your other passions besides creating art?
I am curious about everything, I like the simple things in life, a good meal with friends, a trip, walking on the beach with my dogs…

I’m sorry my answer won’t be funny at all, I don’t have a TV! Let’s say the Lion King.But I’m not really ashamed, it’s a great movie!
