Today we’re joined by an awesome NFT artist, Fedos, known for his incredible ‘The Explorer Series’ and other colourful pieces that grabs the viewers attention. Interested in finding out more about him? Read on…

Fedos, thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us.

Congratulations on the release of ‘The Explorers Series’, it looks amazing. Your use of colour is absolutely magical. How did you first get into creating digital art?

Before I started to create art I was doing acrobatics. Once upon a time in 2014 I was participating in a street acrobatics tournament in Moscow. After the tournament, I was invited to join an afterparty. At that party, my life took a turn. I met a really cool digital artist who showed me his workspace, explained his process of creating digital art and something inside of me clicked. I was amazed and intrigued by the idea of creating digital art. That very moment felt like I discovered a hidden gem inside of me.

I was very inspired and I thought that it would be a good idea to start creating art in between my training sessions. Right away I bought a tablet and indulged myself in this new world.

Art possessed me and I started drawing 5 hours per day and sometimes even longer than that. Ever since then I switched from acrobatics to creating digital art and I feel that I rediscovered who I truly am.

What are your inspirations? This could be artists (NFT or non-NFTs), TV shows, music, or any random thing on the internet!

I’m always drawing with Electronic music like Techno, Melodic — House, Deep House. I feel a flowing energy with that kind of music.

My favorite artists is WLOP, Amir Zand, Ayran Oberto.

What is your work process from idea to finish?

Usually, I start to draw without a specific idea and I try to do it fast, it can be abstract shapes and colors. I can churn out up to 10 sketches for 1 session and I will usually only choose one that I like the most. Once I start to work on something new ideas come to my mind and I start to develop on them.

Sometimes I also get specific ideas and I just draw them.

Cryptocurrencies and NFT have been dominating the world news for the past year thanks to the meteoric rise of Bitcoin, Cryptopunks, and of course, the famous Beeple $69M NFT purchase. What are your honest thoughts on the cryptocurrency and NFT space right now?

Before NFT became popular (February 2021) I was not involved with cryptocurrencies and cryptoart.

I think that the rise of NFT has impacted the lives of many creators of visual content. It has most certainly changed my life.

Now artists like me have the freedom to dive deep into our imagination, dig out the deepest thoughts and ideas and work on them because we now have the time and the opportunity to do so.

It’s important to note that in March/April of 2021 many new artists have joined the NFT world and this caused an overall decrease in sales for many artists because the market got flooded with new art. This was an important moment because many artists were not able to sell their art and they were forced to go back to their regular lives to pay the bills. Now however the market has stabilised.

I love the new trends like the collectable series because it helps to grow as an artist and build on my strengths.

And as you can see, I did not hesitate and wait and instead jumped right into creating my own series.

What are your other passions besides creating art?

I love to travel around the world, doing some sport activities like Snowboarding, Surfing, driving a motorbike.

Also, I like Electronic festivals with some Art spaces.

This is something we ask new starters in CoinBurp as part of their Q&A interviews that we post on our blog, but the answers are always great so we’ll ask you too; What TV show or movie are you ashamed to admit you love?

I love Interstellar, Inception, Blade Runner.

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions for us. The CoinBurp team can’t wait to see you grow as an artist!

Post some links to where people can find your artwork and social media accounts. Also, feel free to shout out anything else you wish.
